Beginner Blogger Article 1

Honestly, I never thought I would blog ever. Even when I hear the word "blog" my face cringes and I immediately think of wanna-be hipsters sitting around their computers on a Saturday night in Brooklyn. But the more I think about it and the more I talk to people, blogging and getting your ideas out there isn't totally cringe worthy after all.  As you can decipher from my title I'm not working and haven't been for the past few months. I quit my job in accounting in October 2010 and have enjoyed the "retired" life ever since. First thing that comes to people's minds when you say you are unemployed is money, which is a very valid point, especially in New York. You need money to live. You work to live not the other way around which is very depressing if you think about it, but hey, I'm going to try my damn hardest to make it work....Stay tuned.

  2. When I got the link I thought you had found another person's blog - THE ONE, the person who actually did retire at 28 and had all the answers! Ah well, maybe you are THE ONE. I know someone else who quit their job in accounting at Beers & Cutler in DC. She then toured South America and mountain biked the Andes or something, came back north and joined the FBI and now she carries a gun. It's not retired, but it's not accounting, either.
