Words with Friends

I didn't know if it was possible to be obsessed with something as dorky as Words with Friends but, yeah, it is, and I am obsessed. Phil turned me on to this a few days ago at Rink Bar and I honestly think he created a monster. For those cool people out there who don't know, Words with Friends is an online, similar version to Scrabble. It can only be played on an IPhone, Pad or Touch.  You can play friends, computer or random people. For people who know me are definitely in shock right now because I hate Scrabble with a passion. Sue and my sister always try to get me to play and I hate it. I don't know if I actually hate it or just the fact that I'm awful at it.

Anyways, I got the free download on my IPod Touch and started inviting people to play via email or facebook. Its fun as hell and the chat feature makes good for talking smack. You can now find me playing five games at a time. I've gotten so crazy with it, I call the bars and restaurants before I go out to make sure they have free wifi. No wifi, no dice! Eric and I went out last night and we literally stood in the corner and played. Like why would I go out and do normal things like talk to girls and be social? That makes way too much sense...

But the funniest part is I'm really not good, I'm actually pretty awful. My claim to fame is beating Phil, but he was probably (definitely) drunk, and another friend who never even played Scrabble before. Besides those two, its blowout city. Thinking about it, my grandmother in Delray loves Scrabble but I have better luck finding a job than her figuring out an IPad. Does Bolt Bus go to South Florida? "Hey, I'm Retired at 28!"

  1. First off, don't knock Sylvia. She figured out the DVD player. I'll play with you (and beat you) anytime...
